Sometimes a wave, all brooding and blue/grey will rise out of the sea to rage against the shore. The wave is nature’s poetic manifestation of mood, mystery, energy and timelessness.

I like to capture adjacent moments in a single frame, to hold the fragments of what I see and experience for longer.

I witness familiar places differently whenever I open the lens and the result is a picture that compresses my observations. By hand-holding the camera during this extended period my intention is include my personal movement and emotional connection to the scene.
