‘This Australian icon is always busy - especially on a sunny, winter's morning when thousands walk along the shoreline and many surfers wait for elusive waves.

On this morning I set the camera up where the waves washed softly across the sand. I made a very long exposure and encouraged people to walk across the front of my lens.

All that was left after several minutes were fading footsteps and the ghost figures of surfers in the line-up...’
