‘Al would have a mug of tea and a cigarette every morning as he stood in the gateway. If you enlarge the image you can see an old teabag tag hanging off one of the plants.

Al kept to himself and didn't seem to leave his old house too often - obviously taking heed of the direction he had painted the Keep Out sign.

When I asked if could photograph him he politely declined but was happy enough for me to make this picture of Al's place.’
